Vanity & Chair

 I have dubbed this piece a "jewelry vanity" .  The client wanted a piece of furniture at which his wife could sit  while choosing her jewelry.  The vanity and chair are based on designs from the federal period. There are sand-shaded quarter fans in both pieces, as well as a sand-shaded ellipse at the apex. The side mirrors slide behind the center mirror to reveal a compartment for hanging jewelry . The chair was designed by StephenGeorge with a diminutive sized back as not to detract from the vanity.
